As Platform Manager for Private Cloud & Data Center, you lead the team responsible for a core part of IKEA’s digital foundation. You don't just manage infrastructure; you lead the evolution of our data centers into a modern, Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) model. You take full end-to-end accountability for the vision, strategy, and roadmap of our private cloud, ensuring it acts as a high-performing and seamless "as-a-service" enabler for the entire organization.
A big part of the role is leading the full lifecycle of the platforms you own. This includes making technology decisions, managing financial governance, and driving continuous improvement. You will lead modernisation initiatives across our private cloud and data center landscape. Including cloud?native approaches and integrated solutions that strengthen scalability and resilience. Staying close to market trends keeps your strategy future?ready and relevant.
Collaboration is essential. You will work closely across technology and platform networks, enterprise architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities meet real business needs. You will also manage supplier relationships, ensuring contracts, governance and delivery follow IKEA’s ways of working, while coordinating dependencies across units to build consistency and understanding of our platform landscape.

You bring a strong understanding of how to connect technology, platforms, and architecture with real business needs, and you enjoy making the complex simple for others. With experience in software engineering at scale, cloud computing and service management, you feel at home navigating the full lifecycle of large?scale platforms in a global environment.
You have a deep technical foundation that spans cloud platforms, automation, engineering principles and IT service operations. You understand Software?Defined Data Centers (SDDC), hybrid?cloud burst architectures and modern data center patterns that help create flexible and scalable solutions. As Platform Manager for Public Cloud, you guide our cloud platform domains, so they run smoothly, securely, and cost?effectively and always aligned with IKEA standards. With a clear eye on performance and compliance, you make sure our public?cloud platforms are dependable foundations for the many digital solutions across IKEA.
You lead the full platform lifecycle with a focus on removing friction:
Platform-as-a-Product: You treat our cloud capabilities as a product, where your success is measured by the velocity and autonomy of the engineering teams who consume them.

As our Digital Product Leader for ITSM, ITOM & ITAM on the ServiceNow platform, you will be at the heart of this journey. You are part of a team consisting of IT Practice Leaders, Business Analysts and Product Specialist(s) ensuring that process roadmaps are enabled through the product vision and roadmap. As a Digital Product Leader, you will be accountable for:
Defining and owning the long-term product vision and roadmap for ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM on the ServiceNow platform.
Securing end-to-end lifecycle management, ensuring that digital products evolve and deliver continuous business value.
Engaging stakeholders to prioritize needs, translate business requirements into product outcomes, and drive adoption.
Deliver value at scale, improving co-worker experience, service reliability, and operational efficiency, follow-up by defining success measures (e.g., adoption, service reliability, automation, operational efficiency, user satisfaction) and reporting progress

About you
To thrive in this role, you should bring proven experience as a Digital Product Leader (product owner) such as budget ownership, product lifecycle management, and defining measurable outcomes. You have demonstrated leadership in best-practice digital product development, with a clear focus on keeping solutions OOB (out-of-the-box) to ensure long-term sustainability and agility along with deep expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM products. Demonstrated experience with budget ownership and prioritization, including making transparent trade-offs across multiple stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities, particularly ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM, with strong knowledge of configuration vs customization and the value of staying OOB.
Track record of delivering automation, monitoring, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve service reliability and user experience.

We are seeking two skilled, hands-on and passionate Cybersecurity Engineers with strong software engineering and data integration experience to complete our growing Cyber Security team at Inter IKEA.
Reporting to the Security Operations and Incident Response Manager or the Cyber Protection Manager (depending on chosen assignment), you will work with a team of cyber experts to help us modernize and scale our cyber security capabilities and drive initiatives to identify and manage cyber risks facing the IKEA value chain. Storage One is a large part of our digital storage planning tools. PAX, PLATSA, BESTÅ, EKET, SMÅSTAD, BILLY, IVAR and KALLAX are some of the ranges that are currently planned with a Storage One planner. We will be adding additional ranges to the platform and need to update existing ranges with new features. For each new range and update, all SPR combinations must be built in the planning tool and to be linked from the web's PIP pages.
The Storage development team needs a summer worker who can help build these SPR solutions in our planning tools for new and updated ranges. We are looking for a responsible person with basic IT skills and an interest in building and creating with 3D tools on a computer. Previous knowledge of similar work is an advantage.

About the role

Retail processes End-to-End: The retail process is to describe how IKEA work with retail throughout that value chain. It start with our identity, the range. How the we manufacture and supply the range to the franchisees and then how to communicate, sell and customer fulfillment. The process indirectly defines the capabilities IKEA need and at least half of the process and capabilities is defined and managed by the franchisees.
Digital capability areas: It is the different capabilities the support retail concept and consist of both subject matter experts, process people but also the digital tools as needed. Tools as currently provided are for example IKEA Digital Design System Skapa, IKEA Knowledge graph, Visa Retail Guidance, Range Selection Tool etc..
IKEA.com and IKEA.net channels: Is the external brand building top domain of IKEA online. It is not the sales channel that sit on the franchisee side, but the rather the part that explain for the customer audience of who we are.
Retail Operation Solution and Support (ROSS): It is the combined upper funnel of IKEA.com retail websites as mainly contracted by IKEA IT AB but also the lower funnel of customer checkout, payment, order orchestration, fulfillment, finance, customer support and supply. This is a combination of capabilities from Supply and the Microsoft 365 Dynamics Enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform provided as a service to most of the non INGKA franchisees.

Lead the development team with integration development based on Azure Integration Services.

Support in drafting SLAs/support contracts and agreements for the new integrations with retailers and product owners.


Manage and prioritize the integration platform backlog.


Follow up on the assigned platform/product budget.


Stakeholder management with key stakeholders within and outside IKEA.


Be the bridge and translator between technology and business.

Job Description


Join our dynamic Data and Analytics team as a Platform Engineer with a focus on Databricks platform development and operations. In this critical role, you will design, develop, manage, and operate high-quality shared platforms that support efficient operations across IKEA's value chain. Utilizing both new and existing technologies and delivery methods, you will help drive our digital agenda, ensuring IKEA remains at the forefront of a rapidly evolving environment.
Assignment
As a Platform Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Designing, developing, running, and lifecycle managing high-quality platforms that enable products and services, using the appropriate tools, methods, and frameworks.
Creating platform designs that adhere to best practices and standards in architecture, security, performance, and reliability to meet requirements and compliance.
Collaborating within agile/DevOps teams to manage the development and lifecycle of platforms and services, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
Implementing and promoting good platform engineering practices to improve time to market and meet business needs.
Driving change activities across different environments to ensure platform functionality and availability.
Delivering tests, performance analysis, configuration management, and creating functional/feature specifications to enhance platform, product, and service delivery.
Continuously exploring and evaluating new technologies to enhance innovation and productivity.
Providing support and guidance to consumers, promoting best practices and collaboration.
Enabling a data-driven culture at IKEA by transitioning from legacy analytics to modern technology platforms.

Qualifications


About you
You are a passionate Platform Engineer with substantial experience working on the Databricks platform. You have a strong background in data platforms or enterprise solutions and a keen understanding of data democratization. Your expertise includes working as a platform and/or software engineer in complex cloud-based analytic solutions, particularly with Azure tools.

Qualifications
Formal qualifications in computer science, platform engineering, or any engineering equivalent
Minimum 5 years of professional experience within platform engineering with at least 3 years of experience as a platform engineer, specifically with the Databricks platform.
Experience of working in agile/iterative platform development teams with a DevOps working set-up and with an emphasis on self-organisation and delivery to agreed commitments
