We are now looking for a student in the field of electrical or computer engineering that would like to write a thesis with us!
As a thesis worker at Fingerprints, you will be able to make a difference and strengthen the development of Fingerprint’s sensor technology. You will work in an open and dynamic international environment, with products that are used every day! You will be empowered with responsibilities and decision paths are short and fast.
The work will be carried out in our Business Line Payment & Access, and you will either work at our office in Malmö or Gothenburg (remote work may be possible). You will be supported by a supervisor who follows you during your project.

Scope
Developing a concept/demo using one of Fingerprint Cards biometric systems
We have a great possibility to work with an exciting opportunity to build a concrete practical system introducing biometrics to simplify people’s everyday usage.
Fingerprints is looking for a candidate that can deploy and develop it´s skills for product development taking it from an idea, to system design and finally implementing it. In this task you will use several different skills, e.g. from ideation phase, feasibility, system design user experience and implementation and test.
The product idea Fingerprint Cards would like to get implemented is to enable biometrics in the growing delivery for in-store boxes. The goal is to develop a product showcasing a real-life scenario including biometrics that will simplify daily activity.
Fingerprints encourage the freedom how to implement but believe the following skills could be useful, electronic design and programming in embedded environment, mobile app creation, entrepreneur and business mindset
Who you are:
To succeed at Fingerprints, you are a team player with a positive problem-solving attitude. You are curious and open to learn new things and are driven by a deep technical interest.
The It is good if you are hands-on and also have experience in developing mobile apps and do programming of Raspberry or Arduino boards.

Duration
• The duration of the Thesis is approx. 6 months.
• The Thesis starts during fall of 2021, to be discussed
• 30 ECTS (academic credits) if in agreement with your Thesis Advisor in University
• This thesis is to be conducted by 1 Student
• Office, computer and software will be arranged by University and Fingerprint Card
