About the role
Group Functions act as a cross functional business partner and coordinate the total cost of the function. The Group Functions Financial Controlling team is responsible for the financial controlling, providing support of the Ingka Group Functions. The Group Financial Controlling team leads the Financial Controlling Function providing support to the three core-businesses IKEA Retail, Ingka Centres and Ingka Investments. The majority of these Group Functions are geographically located in the Netherlands as well as in Sweden. This position is placed in Malmö, at Hubhult.
As a Group Functions Financial Controller you will lead, steer and support the overall Ingka financial reporting that protects and adds value to our assets, securing profitable growth and financial independence. You contribute to the development of the Group Functions by providing Accounting and Reporting services, supporting a strong compliance framework and actively support the steering of the central management. You provide timely and accurate budgets, follow ups and analysis of the costs involved in the Ingka Group Functions. The purpose is to enable business transformation and secure Ingka Group long term profitable growth and independence through financial steering and decision support, operational excellence and compliance.


Main responsibilities
Ensure relevant, accurate and timely Accounting and Financial reporting based on standard global frameworks and local legal requirements
Coordinate the budget, forecast and cost follow up of the Group and Service Functions, including preparation of management reporting
Work closely together with Business Navigation to create insight in costs and performance to support business steering
Work with the Group framework teams and functional leadership to minimize deviations from standard global frameworks for business needs and compliance reasons and secures effective ways of working
Set up and maintain the financial structures to follow-up cost and performance to support decision making in line with global frameworks
Secure and maintain a connection between core areas, business owners, group functions, process teams within the Ingka Group



Your background
To be successful in this role you have at least 5 years of experience or more of increased responsibility within accounting, controlling and budgeting or finance in a larger international structure. You have a strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions, multi-task and the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English. You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
You have knowledge in following areas:
Excellent knowledge of financial reporting rules, standards and manuals, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Excellent knowledge of the measurement, processing and communication of financial information regarding economic entities, which aims to document the organization’s resource management
Excellent knowledge of how to plan and measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring value for money in reaching business objectives and long-term profitable growth
Advanced knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders
Advanced knowledge of how to assess, analyse and mitigate risks in a business environment
Good knowledge of project management processes including methods and tools and how to integrate them

About this work area 
You would become one out of four members of the Ingka Group Security Team, a team within the Safety & Security Department in the Business Group Risk Management & Compliance function.
The Group Security Team handles a wide spectrum of security related areas with the aim to safeguard Ingka Group’s people, brand and assets.
These areas include, but are not limited to:
Loss Prevention as a result of theft and fraud
Travel Risk
Investigations of suspected breaches of the Ingka Group Code of Conduct
Crisis Management
Working towards a working- and shopping environment free from violence for our co-workers, customers and visitors
Supporting in securing compliance with legislative- and internal requirements of IKEA’s supply chain
Executive Protection

Some tasks are shared equally between all members of the team, whereas others have a designated team member assigned as the main responsible and driver.

In order to be successful in your role, you will regularly work together with co-workers from other functions both within and outside of Business Group Risk Management & Compliance.
Your responsibilities 
You provide the expert knowledge and advices to ensure a holistic and proactive security risk handling for Ingka Group, which are well accepted and understood by business stakeholders, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and treated.
You are responsible to:
Develop standards and provide subject matter expertise support in the areas of security, threats & violence and travel Risk to countries and group functions.
Develop and maintain Security & Crisis management frameworks
Conduct internal security investigations as well as fraud detection and fraud investigation with the purpose to find facts and translate to preventative actions
Define and maintain policies, standard operation procedures, guidance and templates in the wider area of security
Operate Critical Information Flow and Travel Security with 24/7 readiness to quickly and appropriately inform all relevant stakeholders in case of potential crisis.
Ensure risk treatment by taking countermeasures and act on action plans
Secure alignment and integration of Business Risk Management & Compliance as part of projects and initiatives
Monitor changes in legislation on global level and process updates in steering documents, controls and compliance verification activities
Lead and inspire a risk and compliance performance mind-set, raise risk awareness and promote a risk culture, and thereby support growth and maximization of business value.
