Malmö Opera seeks to appoint a Studienleiter/Chefsrepetitör.
Job description
As Studienleiter/Chefsrepetitör, you hold a senior position within our music team and play an important role in guiding and maintaining the artistic quality of the company. You are a key person in the preparation and delivery of our productions.
You will plan and coordinate the work of our experienced house répétiteurs and, in each production, be responsible for supporting our casts through coaching. Alongside playing for operatic productions, the position includes coaching soloists, both permanent singers and guest artists, in the operatic repertoire.
You will also contribute to the development and performance health of our successful Malmö Opera Chorus by regularly coaching members of the chorus.
In addition to rehearsal work and vocal coaching, you will be responsible for our important collaboration with the Malmö Opera Academy, where our Master's degree programme for opera singers and répétiteurs is conducted in collaboration with the Malmö Academy of Music at Lund University.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced répétiteur and vocal coach. You will have broad experience of playing the standard operatic repertoire in a professional context, a deep understanding and knowledge of vocal technique, and proven experience as a vocal coach.
The position places high demands on flexibility, responsibility and organisational skills. You have very good communication skills and are straightforward and clear in your leadership and decision-making.
In this recruitment, we place great importance on your ability to coach and inspire employees in your daily work. You are a driven and responsive relationship builder with the ability to collaborate with many different professional areas within a large organisation.
We are looking for someone who has:
a relevant artistic degree
proven experience as a répétiteur in opera and musicals
performance experience as a collaborative pianist in general, for example in chamber music and vocal recitals
documented experience of vocal coaching at a professional artistic level
good language skills in the core operatic languages
experience as a conductor, which is advantageous
proficiency in English. Knowledge of Swedish is advantageous but not required.

Employment conditions
The position is full-time, 100%, and is a fixed-term three-year contract with the possibility of extension. The starting date is 1 January 2027, or by mutual agreement.

Due to the nature of a working in an opera orchestra in a house like Malmö Opera, the successful candidate may be required to play Contrabassoon as part of the rotation of services within the group, for example where the Principal or Co-principal positions double on Contra. Contrabassoon however will not be part of the audition as only the primary function of Co-principal bassoon is assessed. If during the trial, the rotation of the group and repertoire requires it, playing contrabassoon may be required of the candidate

I det ständigt pulserande stadslivet i Malmö vill vi som kyrka vara ett tecken på Guds närvaro. Genom bön och gudstjänst, samt i alla våra möten med människor, vill vi fira, förmedla och förvalta evangeliet om Jesus Kristus. I S:t Johannes församling finns tre kyrkor med varierande inriktningar; S:t Pauli, S:t Johannes och S:t Matteus. 
I den här tjänsten kommer du att utgå från S:t Matteus kyrka, men samtidigt arbeta för helheten inom församlingen.  

S:t Matteus arbete präglas av en rik gudstjänst och musikliv med söndagens högmässa som en självklar mittpunkt. Våra olika barn och vuxenkörer växer stadigt för varje år och berikar gudstjänstlivet med kontinuerlig medverkan.

Vad innebär tjänsten

Att spela vid kyrkliga handlingar, vardagsmässor och högmässor ingår som ordinarie arbetsuppgifter. Utöver det tillkommer att ta ansvar för församlingens barn och familjerytmikgrupper, samt att leda S:t Matteus gospelkör och eventuellt också en barnkör. Som kyrkomusiker i Matteus kommer du dessutom att bli involverad i församlingens konfirmandarbete och våra olika mötesplatser för andlig fördjupning som exempelvis stilla dagar.

Vem är du

Vi söker dig som har kantorsexamen eller likvärdig kompetens. Du är trygg att röra dig mellan olika musikgenrer, alltifrån traditionella kyrkomusiken till gospel, taizé och modernare lovsångsmusik. Du arbetar prestigelöst och involverar gärna frivilliga att bli delaktiga i musiken kring våra gudtjänster.
Tillsammans med vår organist i S:t Matteus kyrkan utvecklar ni musiklivet i kyrkan. Dessutom är du flexibel, trivs att arbeta i team och villig att arbeta brett utifrån de lokala behov som finns inom församlingen och pastoratet.

Arbetsbeskrivning och kvalifikationer 
Som musiker i Malmö operaorkester arbetar och bidrar du med nyfikenhet, öppenhet, kompetens och tolerans. Vi söker dig som medverkar till att skapa ett bra samarbete och goda resultat i alla spännande och olikartade sammanhang där vi uppträder. Utöver de stora uppsättningarna kommer du att ingå i mindre ensembler inom hela vårt verksamhetsområde, delta i vår kammarmusikserie och vara en del av vårt ansikte utåt i både marknadsföring och i pedagogiska sammanhang.

Anställningsförhållanden 
Tjänsten är en heltidstjänst med tillträde 1 januari 2024 eller efter överenskommelse. Tjänsten är en tillsvidareanställning med provår.
