We are seeking a Writer to join the team behind Project Fantasy, helping craft compelling, character-driven narratives that reflect our commitment to diverse and engaging storytelling.
In this role, you will be responsible for outlining in-mission and in-game narratives, writing dialogue (story, ambient, systemic), and creating descriptive content that brings our characters and world to life. You'll play a key role in ensuring narrative consistency across the game while collaborating with a passionate team of designers, artists, and fellow writers.
This is a permanent position based in one of our studios, with the option to work from home one day per week.
What you will do:
Develop engaging, multi-dimensional characters and storylines that align with the project’s themes and vision.
Structure and write story outlines, narrative scenes with impactful dialogue, and supplementary text, managing the process from concept through to final delivery, under guidance from the Main Writer.
Work with the Main Writer and designers to conceive missions, scenarios, and objectives that align with broader narrative goals.
Create location, character, and item descriptions that add depth and context to the world.
Write and edit banter, enemy dialogue, systemic and objective text, and other dynamic narrative content that enhances player immersion.
Work closely with designers and artists to build narrative-driven locations, quests, and cutscenes that tell coherent, emotionally powerful stories.
Participate in writers’ room sessions and table reads, contributing to collaborative story development and working directly with cinematic artists, directors, and performance talent.

Om Kritiker
Kritiker är en Malmöbaserad tvärnordisk litteraturtidskrift som utkommer tre gånger per år, varav ett nummer är ett dubbelnummer. Huvudsakligen publiceras poesi och essäer. De löpande redaktionerna gör att inget nummer av tidskriften är det andra likt. I Kritiker är nordiskhet under ständig omprövning och litteraturen och kritiken utgör en dynamisk enhet. Tidskriftens värdegrund innefattar intersektionella, antirasistiska och HBTQI-perspektiv.
Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden
Samordnaren är ansvarig utgivare och ordförande i Kritikers styrelse. Vederbörande ska också ha koll på tidskriftens ekonomi, göra en årsbudget och ha löpande koll på utgifter och intäkter, så att dessa stämmer överens med budgeten. Samordnaren betalar fakturor och löner och sköter kontakten med banken. I det ekonomiska ansvaret ingår också kontakt med Nätverkstan, som sköter prenumerationer och bokföring, och att söka produktionsstöd från Kulturrådet och sedan redovisa stödet.
Redaktionerna är löpande. Samordnaren får in nummerförslag och vidarebefordrar dessa till tidskriftens redaktionsråd, som tillsammans med samordnaren beslutar om utgivningen. Redaktionsrådet fungerar som ett utökat kontaktnät och som just ett råd till samordnaren och redaktörerna. Medlemmarna är utspridda över norden och har olika kompetenser inom det litterära området.
Samordnaren ansvarar också för att skriva avtal med redaktionerna, och för att uppdatera redaktionsrådet på vad som händer med ett månadsbrev varannan månad.
Kvalifikationer
Kritiker söker någon som är intresserad av och kunnig inom samtida nordisk litteratur. Relevant erfarenhet är meriterande, men inte ett krav. Tjänsten är på 20 % och passar bra att kombinera med deltidsstudier, frilansande inom kultursektorn eller en skrivande praktik.
Övrigt
Tjänsten tillsätts 7/1 2023 eller enligt överenskommelse och är tvåårig med möjlighet till förlängning. Arbetet är på distans men eftersom tidskriften är Malmö-baserad bör samordnaren vara bosatt i Malmö och kunna gå bredvid nuvarande samordnare ca en gång i veckan under hösten.
