Luau Games is a new independent studio backed by Supercell and led by industry veterans with backgrounds from King, EA, and Zynga. We are based in Malmö and have so far assembled a team of more than 15 extremely talented individuals, who are currently working on a casual mobile game in the soft launch - Rose’s Adventure!
As a game artist at Luau, you would get a chance to join an experienced team with a proven industry track record and create visual style and assets for ambitious casual mobile games.
We are a small team and can offer you a collaborative environment with a lot of independence and agency.


Responsibilities:
-Produce 2D art for our very first game - Rose’s Adventure
-Animate characters, prepare game assets and help us with effects
-Create, prepare, implement, and test art assets in Unity
-Occasionally assist the team with UI
-Work closely with other disciplines on new game features -Plan and manage your own work


Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced 2D artist to join our veteran team and ideally, you have high professional standards, attention to detail and you are able to work independently. However, that doesn't mean you are not keen to learn and advance new skills and collaborate with the team.
For this role, some experience with engine and practice in assets creation is definitely required on top of an artistic aptitude and creative mind.
We make cheerful and colorful games for everyone! Strong 2D mobile game art experience.
Experience in preparing and managing assets in engine. Ideally Unity.
Strong animation skills and Spine knowledge.
Ability to adapt to a game style and create new ideas within set guidelines Experience in art production on the shipped title. Ideally mobile.


Nice to have:
-Expert Unity knowledge, but other mobile games experience also considered
-Advanced Spine knowledge - expert animation rigging experience
-Aptitude for technical art - shaders, particles, VFX


Location:

We are looking for an experienced Writer/Narrative Designer to help us create world class stories and dialogs for an exciting Mobile game currently in soft launch. You will be able to play God as you will own the whole Universe (at least in our game)


Responsibilities:
The narrative designer is responsible to drive and communicate the narrative vision, develop games stories & characters in collaboration with the game lead. This includes:
• Create and own an immersive, consistent, and believable universe/characters
• Pace properly and make the important story sections effective
• Combine different kinds of story conflicts within a single narrative. Deepen the plot with subplots (for special events for example)
• Deliver knockout cliffhangers (our stories are likely to never end)
• Evaluate narrative content across a feature or game
• Initiate the development of new narrative concepts to support both creative and monetization objectives.
• Keep what’s interesting for our audience, not what’s fun to do as a writer
• Create dialogue and support narrative content
• Assist the game team iterate on narrative and its delivery
• Reinforce narrative and creative goals in relation to overall gameplay

• Write, review, and edit dialogue and other supporting text
• Work with sound producers regarding direction and ambiances
