Key qualifications and requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience working with GDPR or data privacy, preferably as a DPO
Master’s degree in law or related field
Experience of working in a regulatory setting, such as within financial services or other compliance-driven industries, is highly valued
Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise in GDPR and data protection regulations
Fluent in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Arbetsuppgifter:

Som AML Specialist blir du en viktig del i arbetet att skapa en god kännedom om kunderna för att säkerställa att banken inte medverkar till penningtvätt eller andra former av finansiell kriminalitet. Arbetsuppgifterna innefattar att utreda, godkänna och rekommendera beslut gällande kundkännedom. Du kommer arbeta som ett stöd till och avlasta nuvarande MLRO i det operativa arbetet med att kvalitetssäkra bedömningar och hantera eskaleringar av svårare kund-case, både av privatkunder och företagskunder. Du arbetar mot teamet för Financial Crime som består av ca 8 medarbetare som utför utredningar och gör rekommendationer, där du sedan tar vid för att godkänna eller avslå och göra en slutlig riskbedömning. Rollen innebär stort eget ansvar där du förväntas kunna ta självständiga beslut och agera supporterande mot både Financial Crime teamet så väl som MLRO.

Utbildning, Erfarenhet och personliga egenskaper:

• God erfarenhet inom AML / CTF-området hos bank eller annan finansiell institution, med fördel i en liknande roll som AML Specialist
• Erfarenhet av KYC-analys, AML-undersökningar inklusive rapportering av SAR och förståelse av due diligence
• God förståelse för komplexa kundriskanalyser och arbete med högriskkunder
• Meriterande med erfarenhet av PEP och sanktionsutredningar
• Goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, tal och skrift

THE ROLE

We are now looking for a Group Legal Counsel with a broad range of knowledge and experience in corporate and commercial law. This position will report to the General Counsel and be part of a small (but growing!) legal team, with big possibilities to be part of shaping the legal function as we expand our business in the next years. Your mission will be to provide general legal counsel and support to the Group corporate functions and operations.

This means that you will:

- Provide close support to the General Counsel and head office functions.

- Develop processes and procedures to improve legal support for the business units, including trainings and the development of templates to improve efficiency.

The position is placed in Malmö and may require some travel.

We are strengthening our legal team to further support Ikano Bank’s growth journey and are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal Department at the Bank’s head office in Malmö, Sweden. Primary focus for the role is to support with general corporate commercial support to the central functions. As a Legal Counsel of Ikano Bank you will work closely and in cooperation with the business. Create finance solutions for a better living

The 2nd line Compliance Function is a vital independent function. The function’s role is to, with a risk-based approach, identify compliance risks, recommend actions, monitor and support the Bank. Play an active role in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Bank’s compliance framework.

You will be based in Sweden, but your work arena will be all Ikano Bank’s branches, from your location in Malmö.

Main tasks as Compliance Officer:

• Identify, analyze and interpret and produce documentation on new external regulations that are relevant for the Bank’s licensed operation.
• Independently assess compliance risks and thus contributing to the Compliance Function's overall risk assessment.
• Perform monitoring and controls to secure the Bank’s adherence to external and internal regulations, and how compliance risks are managed in the Bank. Examples of areas are AML, Personal Data Protection and Conduct risk.
• Produce reports based on the monitoring and control including recommendations based on the observations.
• Provide advice, support and training on external and internal requirements applicable to the Bank's licensed operations and ensure that governing documents within relevant areas are kept up to date.
• Inform and train co-workers on new or changed external requirements and relevant internal regulations
• Represent the Compliance Function on relevant meetings and risk committees.
• Regular written reporting to relevant stakeholders, including input to CEO and Board reporting.
• Actively support the business in their work with compliance risk management and promote a strong Compliance culture.
