A day in your life with us
• Leading the Communication and Interior Design team, to embrace and understand knowledge of IKEA home furnishing and people's life at home to grow&deliver; to the business expectations.
• Giving clear direction and strategies for the creative direction in the IKEA store.
• Managing all the store planning process for all the store areas (commercial and non-commercial areas including the office areas).
• Using seasonality and vitality to strengthen the implementation of the commercial calendar priorities including but not exclusive to launches, collections, News and SISAN amongst others.
• Accountable for analyzing people´s life at home in the PMA, to provide the right solutions for the customers that reflects their needs, wants and dreams.
• Accountable for my function’s development, securing the functional succession plan, that secures development of team members. Provide and secure a customized training plan individually to secure the functional competence.
• Goal setting and follow up through soft and hard KPIs.
• Creating a “sense of urgency” and agile adaptation to capture arising commercial opportunities.
• Secure conceptual and commercial compliance is a part of our ways of working.
• One of the main commercial stakeholders contributing to yearly market business plan, creating the yearly action plan for the market and for the function, agreeing on the business potential and gaps, securing the right actions and necessary redesigning of the total store.
• One of the key stakeholders in the upcoming City Plan for Malmö Market.
Who you are

• 3 -5 years leadership experience on a management level in a high-volume IKEA Market

Your responsibilities
As a Shop Design Specialist, you inspire our customers through our home furnishing knowledge, discovering new needs for their life at home. Leading projects and designing retail solutions and environments to improve the customer experience. You are responsible for creating an innovative range presentation solutions, global guidelines, and strategies that contribute to a growing IKEA business.
You will work on different projects together with other Shop Design Specialists within the team and markets always working cross-functional within Ingka Group and other IKEA businesses. With the CRS solutions and your knowledge, you support our 30 markets and the development of our business plan ensuring that all initiatives are supporting the growth plan.

As Interior Design Manager, you lead the Interior Design team to create home interior design solutions in room settings, homes, restaurants and other customer and coworkers’ areas, according to your PMA insights.

The product team will?create an infrastructure, allowing for?the actual knowledge domain owners to?model the graph themselves?following both legal structures and internal IKEA governance principles and at source. After that, we will?distribute the knowledge to all retailers in high-performant and scalable way and where they are, which is +50 markets around the IKEA globe.

What solutions are best for small space? What types of products are best suitable when living with a baby? These are the types of knowledge areas that will be modelled in the graph.

It is essential?that our Com&In; Digital Knowledge Modeler brings both broad and deep?knowledge of IKEA home furnishing and interior design. Experience with knowledge modelling is not a must, we will support with training?in ontology modelling. However, it is important that you bring a strong interest for digitalization and a passion and drive to translate our unique IKEA knowledge into a digital format to benefit the many people You will be part of a team of experts passionate about technology who represents different knowledge domains. 

As a Com&In; Digital Knowledge Modeler you will:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We are recruiting for several Planning Specialist positions. We are looking for a mix of Planning Specialists, bringing knowledge and experience from different competence areas. We are looking for you who bring experience in Interior Design.
In this role you are responsible to plan retail spaces and home furnishing solutions for new Customer Meeting Points (CMPs) and major rebuilds based on our most recent home furnishing and merchandising solutions. You will secure planning of CMPs that present the range in a vital, inspiring way fitting the needs of the many and that enable access to the whole range in a multichannel retail world of IKEA.
You will:
• create detailed planning of new CMPs and major rebuilds
• contribute to designing retail spaces and solutions to become visually attractive and drive sales, based on the customer journeys of the new CMP and based on market input and local needs
• contribute to creating inspiring presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles and price levels and life at home activities with seasonal relevance connected to the commercial activities
• work with sustainability in order to contribute to the IKEA focus on social responsibility and care for the environment
• provide design solutions that are documented and ready for implementation by market organisations
• support the commercial team by providing information of planned range and products for all design solutions
• provide information of all merchandise equipment and other support elements for turn-key implementation
• ensure efficient CMPs that present the range in a vital, inspiring way fitting the needs of the many and that enable access to the whole range in a multichannel retail world of IKEA
• create solutions that are adapted to efficient daily operation of the CPM
• be at the forefront of new solutions and new technology in order to optimise customer experience and efficiency of CMPs
• support the market implementation, in order to learn for new projects and share knowledge
• co-operating with other functions and working closely together, sharing knowledge and respecting each other's responsibilities to present the range in the most commercial, inspiring and aesthetic way possible
• work across functions within Ingka Group and collaborate with other IKEA units

This role is based in Malmö and will report to the Planning Team Leader.

Preferably, you have a background of working as Interior Design specialist in Service Office (Country level) or Interior Design Leader for an expansion (working with home furnishing and retail design development projects in an multinational retail organisation or any other similar experience will be relevant experience as well). We see that you have experience from working with range presentation and you have demonstrable home furnishing design skills with a strong portfolio.
