Management in the NCE Region! Region NCE > Service Operations Support > Sub Supplier Management
You will become a part of Vestas North and Central Europe, which is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and south of Africa. We are responsible for sales functions, project, installation, and service of wind farms throughout these regions. We aim to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas and we aim to make Vestas North and Central Europe the best place to work. You will be joining a team handling our Sub supplier Management. We act as regional partner, with the objective of making all needed activities in administration, ordering, onboarding, governance and supporting of sub suppliers their core business, and thereby supporting the regional organization


Responsibilities
The Area Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of the strategic initiatives for the subcontracting supervisors and technicians in Vestas Service NW
Continuously monitoring the operational performance in the subcontracting area
As an Area Supervisor you have the responsibility of ensuring your team follow up on the performance and readiness of the subcontracting technicians and to deliver to the Vestas requirements and "must win battles"


Qualifications
Previous experience as a Manager/Supervisor within an industrial / engineering environment ideally in a field-based position within power generation industry or associated with large complex industrial machinery and equipment.
Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in-house database and workload management systems, beneficial with experience with SAP and Salesforce
Organised and methodical approach to work with a proven ability to analyse data with an attention to detail
Able to prioritise own workload, to deliver on time and in full
Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home
Leads by example, able to motivate others
Continuous drive for technical and performance improvements


Competencies
Technical background and relevant technical training level
High interpersonal and communication skills combined with ability to empower others from remote locations
High degree of flexibility, change oriented and able to coach others to ensure results
Ability to work in time-sensitive situations
Good problem-solving and self-organization skills combined with a positive and proactive mentality
Proficiency in English both orally and written
Role model with a Safety and Compliance mindset

Your role

As the Head of System Safety, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety aspects of our submarine systems throughout their lifecycle. Your role will encompass team leadership, operational development, system safety, fire safety, and software safety, ensuring that our submarines are not only technologically advanced but also meet the highest safety standards. Your section will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential safety hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of talented system safety engineers, fire safety engineers and software safety engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Assign your resources to the projects, to support the development and maintenance of our submarines, to conduct thorough safety assessments, hazard analyses, and risk assessments, and recommend appropriate safety measures to enhance the reliability and safety of our submarines, including fire safety measures.
* Develop and execute comprehensive safety strategies, policies, and procedures for submarine projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
* Support the collaboration with design, engineering, and software development teams to identify safety requirements early in the development process and integrate safety considerations into the submarine's design and software systems.
* Oversee the implementation of fire safety measures and protocols across the submarine systems, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards and regulations.
* Champion software safety to support efficient collaboration with software engineers to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities, and implementing measures to ensure the safety and integrity of software systems onboard.
* Interface with regulatory authorities, customers, and internal stakeholders to communicate safety-related matters and provide expertise during audits and reviews.
* Be on top of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in submarine, fire, and software safety, and contribute to the advancement of safety practices within the organization.



Your profile

Preferred qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
* Proven track record in system safety engineering with at least 5 years of experience in submarine or maritime projects.
* Experience in fire safety and software safety, with a demonstrated ability to apply safety principles to these domains.
* Strong understanding of safety regulations, standards, and methodologies within the maritime industry.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse group of professionals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to effectively address complex safety challenges.
* Previous experience in operational development and a passion for fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions, requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

The Head of System Safety belongs to the Specialty Engineering area, an area which currently consists of approximately 60 employees split in different sections. The section is expected to grow further to meet the increased demand of our knowledge and competence. You will be the one leading and developing a growing section, securing project deliveries both to our national and international submarine projects.

Tjänsten som Testingenjör innebär ett övergripande ansvar för mekanisk testning av såväl material som prototyper och produkter. Du kommer läsa såväl nationella som internationella standarder och omsätta dessa till praktisk testning.

Tjänsten ingår i utvecklingsavdelningen men uppdragen kan även komma från produktionen. Din arbetplats kommer att vara på vår produktionsavdelning i Malmö men du kommer även att arbeta i Helsingborg någon dag i månaden.

Utöver underlag för produktframtagning så kommer en del rutinmässiga kvalitetsmätningar också att ingå. Det praktiska arbetet i labbet är ett i huvudsak självständigt arbete där du efter avklarad testning rapporterar utfall. Till detta kommer också arbete i projektgrupper där vi gemensamt tar fram testplaner och diskuterar hur dessa implementeras och hur resultaten ska användas.

Med tid kommer du få en djup insikt i våra material och produkter. Arbetsrelaterade resor kommer att bli aktuella såväl lokala som internationella.

Utöver ovan kommer dina huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter att vara:

- Läsa och sätta dig in i standarder för mekanisk provning
- Genomföra mekanisk provning
- Ta fram rapporter, presentera utfall
- Samarbeta med såväl utvecklingsavdelningen som kvalitetsavdelningen
- Genomföra rutinmässig kvalitetstestning


Vi söker dig som är noggrann, har tålamod och kan arbeta självständigt.

Du bör ha en teknisk utbildning från högskolan och förstå mekaniska sammanhang och kunna ta in och bearbeta teknisk information. Det är du som ska omsätta standarder till praktiskt genomförande. Vårt labb innehåller både högteknologisk testutrustning och enklare mekaniska testriggar och det kräver att du har förståelse för mjukvara och digitala lösningar samtidigt som du inte är rädd för praktiskt arbete med vikter etc. Kunskap om kompositer är meriterande men inte ett skallkrav.

Du måste behärska flytande svenska och engelska i tal & skrift. Vidare måste du ha körkort eftersom det förekommer en del lokala resor.
