Role Description
As a mobile developer at Coffee Stain Malmö, daily work will consist of working on games for mobile platforms; which includes working on new prototypes / games, and adapting existing code, assets, and gameplay mechanics to run on a vast array of mobile devices.
You will also continually examine every part of the codebase and asset libraries for optimizations that could be made, changes that would benefit the gameplay, and integrations to be added. All in order to create the best experience for the end users.
You will be joining the team at an early stage, growing with it from the start. There will be a big focus on collaboration, sharing experiences, and ensuring best practices.
These are things you’ll do on the job
Develop games and their codebases to run on mobile platforms
Implement and support game systems written in C++, mainly in Unreal Engine 4.
Adapt features and mechanics for mobile platforms, including already established codebases.
Work with different release platforms, making sure that the games are well suited to each platform
Look for optimizations that can be made in the projects and be part of implementing the solutions

2+ years experience as a Game Programmer
Solid C++ knowledge
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Role Description
You will transform established games to mobile platforms, adapting mechanics and designs accordingly, all while taking technical decisions to realize the best product possible.
Working closely with the producers, developers from other teams, as well as stakeholders, you will oversee the entirety of the technical aspects of the product. This includes optimizations, concessions, as well as platform specific integrations.
Since this is a newly formed team, your colleagues will turn to you for guidance regarding technical opinions, mentorship, and you will be able to shape how the team works to achieve the best results.

Oversee the technical aspects of adapting games from other platforms, to be published on mobile platforms, all while ensuring the vision of the original products.
Implement and support game systems written in C++, including already established codebases.
Making sure that the main features of the games are well optimized and run smoothly on a variety of mobile devices.
Adapting features and mechanics to mobile platform, keeping close contact with the designers of the original products.

Your role within our Kingdom

As part of the Malmo design team, you will be creating well-balanced, consistent and thrilling levels based on our games’ basic rules as well as support the delivery of the games’ core vision.
Ultimately, you will ensure our games are fun to play!
- Actively contribute to creative discussions surrounding feature reviews
- Create, assess, re-balance and tune new and existing levels
- Analyse feedback and metrics, and adjust the level design accordingly
- Work with designers to ensure level consistency across our games
- Have an insight into work processes and optimisation when working with level creation
- Ability to think laterally and add a new dimension to gameplay
- Ability to blend creativity with methodical testing and balancing
- Remain up-to-date with Level Design literature and best practices to continue contributing to the studio’s Level Design expertise

Vem är du?
Du har en eftergymnasial utbildning inom relevant område. Du har några års erfarenhet av att arbeta med .Net, MS och det är meriterande om du har erfarenhet av Angular 6+.

Du har ett brinnande intresse för teknik och är kreativ som person. Du är nyfiken och tycker om att lära dig nya saker. Du trivs bra med att arbeta i team och delar gärna med dig av din kunskap till andra.

Du är flytande i svenska och engelska, både i tal och skrift.
