THE JOURNEY WE ARE ON
Core Digital Infrastructure is a vital part of Ingka Group developing and maintaining digital application hosting platforms for IKEA. Application runtime, secure data storage and seamless connection through self-service is key for our digital business landscape.



Your responsibilities
Co-lead with the Product Manager to set a clear and tangible product strategy for the assigned product(s), ensuring alignment with Engineering Managers and securing that delivery outcomes meet objectives and consumer needs.
Continuously benchmark against industry standards to understand and meet consumer needs, ensuring that the product team(s) are aligned and driving toward those expectations.
Align with cross-functional teams within the domain to maximize the overall impact of the product(s).
Manage different perspectives and balance diverse viewpoints to meet business objectives, fostering collaboration and “One team” mindset and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
Communicate the product vision and strategy effectively to ensure the team(s) are driving the product(s) in the intended strategic direction.

Experience and qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure platform management in large enterprise environments and experience in modern infrastructure design, modern hosting architecture, data platforms and network.
5+ years of progressive and diverse experience in digital product development with proven track record of delivering products that provide substantial value.
Proven experience of working with iterative, agile product development teams in complex global organisations and possessing a good knowledge of agile/scrum and System/Software Engineering working setup, including key events and artefacts.
Proven track record of delivering and launching digital products, services, or projects within a complex, cross-functional environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across service areas and leverage from others experience.
Ability to engage constructively with consumers, engineers, and business leaders to secure collaboration.
Experience of facilitating the process for taking the team from uncertainty / ambiguity to clear and concrete problems to address.

About the Role

A day in your life with us
As Senior Software Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
Good understanding of Ikea’s engineering baseline; lead and promote good software engineering practices within an agile/iterative development approach

Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in agile/iterative software development teams with a DevOps working setup and with an emphasis on self-organization and delivery to agreed commitments, usage of JIRA and Confluence, plus Git developer workflows.
Experience developing Web Applications on top of GCP using modern Web technologies.
Experience developing, securing and monitoring GCP infrastructure using Cloud-Native approaches.
Experience with API development, , Dataform, BigQuery and Terraform on GCP and with Data and Deployment Pipelines.
Has a security-by-design mindset and knowledge

What you will be doing
As a Data Engineer, you will work together with a team of peers in the design, development, and operation of digital products. Our goal is to be the INGKA single source of truth, when it comes to store and provide INGKA with assets. We are currently storing and distributing images, 3d models, pdf and videos for both ikea.com and for internal use in all INGKA markets.
Assets can be added to our system through automatic pipelines or in batch through our tools or even in some cases manual upload asset by asset. We are currently working on reducing manual and repetitive work and replacing it with automated processes.
We are a small team with 4 developers, 1 product owner and 2 product specialists. Located both in the Malmö area and the Netherlands. Part of the dev team meets at the Hubhult a couple of times a week. What you'll be doing day to day
As a Digital Expansion Specialist, you will daily secure that we deliver the digital solutions to new establishments. What you'll be doing day to day
Within the Business Support Domain of Data & Analytics, you’ll be a part of the Decision Intelligence team that focus on simplifying accounting information, across all Ingka.

- Combine multiple data sources, identify different costs incurred. Simplify accounting needs and create a product for the many.
- Reduce time spent on manual tasks and adhoc reporting and help stakeholders and users with their reporting needs.

In People Domain, we work with several different solutions supporting the many co-workers at IKEA with products to make their day-to-day life easier. One area is People Planning where we work with Schedule and Time keeping solutions for the co-workers.
In People Planning Timekeeping team you will be part of a mature agile team of currently 15+ engineers, product specialists, product owner and scrum master, that operate and continuously develop and improve our solutions used in 20+ countries. We also support the People Planning Accelerate project that will phase in new workforce management solutions globally.
WHO YOU ARE
The role is technical, but we also see that you have an interest and ability to understand the people planning process and our Workforce Management solutions and the role they play in the landscape, to support the engineering team and product team as well as interacting with the other capability teams and other stakeholders.
You should feel comfortable working with a variety of technologies and should have experience with cloud development on GCP – you have a good understanding of cloud storage, databases, serverless and you understand how to use cloud-native in production. You should be eager to learn new things and contribute to the teams development and ways of working.
Formal qualifications in computer science or any equivalent engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience as software engineer with similar level of experience in the assigned tech stack

OUR TEAM WITHIN INGKA
We're a global team based in Helsingborg but with team members located in different European countries and India. We work agile, mainly Scrum but also Kanban for some of the work. We work with different global Workforce management systems for many of the IKEA countries and focus on the Timekeeping part of it. We work closely together with the other teams in People Planning, which we share solution but have different capabilities to handle. You’ll promote the transformation of IKEA into a more data-driven company by ensuring that data and insights are widely used in product teams in Group Digital to reinforce, alter, or largely impact decisions on business and product strategy.
As a Data Scientist, you will work closely together with Data Engineers, Data Analysts and others, in a product team to ensure the development of data science products within the Business Support domain. You will perform predictive and prescriptive modelling and develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to reinvent and grow the IKEA business in a fast-changing digital world. We would like your expertise to support us in answering business questions like:
· How should we price our services to enable us to reach our financial goals?
· Where should we open the next IKEA store to become more accessible to the many people?
· What will the IKEA store of tomorrow look like?
· Build and use forecasting models to help steer our business.
· Use data and analytics to enhance cost-consciousness in all our markets.
· Optimally distribute budget into our operations and developments.

You will work in Data & Analytics together with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Stewards and Data Architects. Senior Cyber Engineer (Compliance) Responsibilities:
Drive the Security Agenda towards IKEA's global Digital product teams and be the point of contact for Product owners / Cyber Engineers
Understands both Information security and related frameworks, like NIST, ISO, CIS etc.
Able to advice on network security, application security, and cloud security
Responsible for answering questions, and helping IKEA implement new practices in the domain.
Assist in getting an overview of products and services within the domain, so they are adequately risk assessed and put on the correct controls.
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Security audit remediation and advice.
Internal IT & security assessments as required
Drive collaboration across teams for IT & security compliance

Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years Application Security experience (conducting security reviews) or 8+ years compliance and software security experience.

What you'll be doing day to day
You will be joining the Cyber Engineering Team for the People and Business Support domain.
Our responsibility is to enable and support our engineering teams to systematically work with security, Privacy and compliance, by operationalizing the IKEA strategy for Security By Design. We support the engineering teams by translating security and privacy findings into actionable risks which they can use to make informed and conscious decisions.
As a senior security engineer, you will also be expected to take on a bigger role in the team, by helping to train and guide the younger members, and act as project manager for the team members in bigger development projects, which involves the Cyber Domain.
