At Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions we hold a leading position in the digitalization of the manufacturing industry. On our quest to create cutting-edge tech solutions that push boundaries, we need innovative, bright and collaborative minds. This is where you come in!
We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our Digital Solutions team – a small, agile and inclusive crew with a start-up mentality, a knack for development and the will to have fun while exploring the tech of tomorrow. We operate close to both the business and our customers, solving real problems and making an actual impact on our digital offering. With us, you’re not just another behind-the-scenes developer, you’re at the core of decisions and help shape what we build.
The team
You’re part of a small and cross-functional DevOps team that develops and maintains a customer focused platform, consisting of a web interface and two native apps. We have a strong UX focus and work closely with our customers – considering both their feedback and our own past experiences – as we develop our digital offering.
About the job
In this role you’re involved in everything from design, architecture, delivery and follow-up and you explore how digital trends and emerging technologies can keep us one step ahead. In our team, we build microservices packaged as docker containers, running in a Kubernetes cluster on Azure, and we also expose RESTful API’s secured with OAuth authentication. Your focus is on backend development, but we also give you the opportunity to dig into other areas or programming languages that might interest you – like web development with React.js, iOS development with Swift or Android development with Kotlin.
We apply flexible working conditions, although your base is at the headquarter in Malmö. It’s up to you if you’re eager to travel and meet our global customers, or if you’d rather create your magic behind the desk.
Your character
We believe that you have experience with modern versions of Java and Spring Framework, as well as knowledge of basic Linux, Unix and databases like Postgre, TimescaleDB or similar. Likewise in test data management and mocking of external APIs. Your experience is very likely backed up by an academic degree in a relevant field and you have at least three years’ work experience from a similar role. With our network and contacts spanning across the globe you need to communicate fluently in English and also understand some Swedish. It’s a plus if you speak any other languages.
For you, programming is a craft and with a doer’s attitude you appreciate an agile setting. You like to challenge yourself, stay updated and are eager to learn new things every day. With your ability of continuous delivery, you analyze small details to solve big problems. You’re a passionate team player with social skills who shares responsibility and works together towards common goals.
Our culture
At Sandvik, we’re tech driven, innovative and entrepreneurial. We believe that success is a team effort so we value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where people can be themselves and reach their full potential. So, we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our differences.

You are part of a legal and compliance team and are a business partner to our global organization with a mission to ensure a high level of compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures. You also implement monitoring frameworks for identifying, reporting and mitigating compliance risks within your area of responsibility.
You work actively to support business in the compliance journey, to raise the awareness of all compliance related matters via trainings and communication, by connecting Sandvik compliance programs to our operations in an easy and understandable way – making it a natural part of our day-to-day business and relevant business processes. Your background and personality
For this position, we need a person with a relevant degree – such as Law, Business Administration or Finance – in combination with solid experience in compliance areas, governance, audits, risk management and operations. Implementing and executing compliance programs and business processes, assessing risks, driving projects and change, guiding management and organizations are tasks you have had in previous jobs. Experience from the manufacturing industry is a strong advantage. Implementing Compliance programs is a significant part of how you have built your professional expertise, and experience in the areas of ABC and Data Privacy could be an advantage. You master stakeholder management and different levels, communicate and behave openly. Doing business in all corners of the world requires a cultural awareness and excellent communication skills in English, and knowledge of other languages including Swedish is a plus.
Mixing a holistic approach with analyzing details, and critically evaluating the risks and rewards for the business and organization is essential. Solid communication skills help you build trust and develop global networks and collaborations. You are also tech savvy and want to explore how compliance matters can benefit from digital solutions. With your persistent, organized and self-driven features, you know how to prioritize and are a fast learner. Your agility and passion for change create a strong buy-in across the organization.

In addition, you make sure business capabilities, information and IT applications are aligned and integrated, and ensure that synergies are found within our designated areas to optimize our future solutions. With your ability to challenge traditional ways of working, you identify new improvement areas along the way while developing, shaping and growing your role further.
You'll be based at our new site in Malmö and some travel is included in the job.

Preferably, you have relevant certifications, knowledge of Jira and ServiceNow, and experience of agile ways of working. It’s also a plus if you have experience from a project manager or team leader role. Your experience is backed by a relevant university degree or comparable knowledge gained through previous work. As we’re a global organization, you need good written and verbal English skills, while other languages are a plus.
Having strong communication skills, you enjoy sharing knowledge with internal and external stakeholders in an inspiring way. You're driven and delivery-focused and appreciate the benefits of coming into a team at an early stage where you show courage to challenge traditional working methods. You're self-motivated and curious about new ways of working, and you have sustainable ideas on how to implement new standards most efficiently. Overall, you challenge us to think one step ahead, always with consistency and quality in mind!

You ensure that detailed solution design produced by various process streams is fit for purpose and appropriate for the business requirements, as well as aligned to original business objectives, architectural strategies, principles and guidelines.
To address any key design issues with a solution, you’re liaising with product vendors and stakeholders as required.
About you
To be successful in this role, you have hands-on experience of working with M3 or other ERP systems in a larger organization. Preferably, you have relevant M3 certifications, knowledge of Jira and ServiceNow, and experience of agile ways of working.

Within Sandvik Group, we’re passionate about development and advanced technology, and we always aim to offer the best possible experience for our customers. Right now, we’re taking an exciting step in transforming our market-leading business even further within the area of stone crushers and screening equipment for the mining and construction industries. We do this by founding an independent, growth-oriented and customer-centric Business Area (BA) by the name of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP). A place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation - where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing.

With pioneering software technology comes, naturally, a need for digital security expertise. With the digital shift happening, this is really a main focus within the whole organization. We’re looking for a Digital Security Manager to join us - someone with an innovative approach and the ability to see the possibilities within security management in a global, complex organization. In return, we offer you an exciting digital arena, where new challenges, modern technology, teamwork and problem-solving are all part of our culture!

Let’s talk about your mission
As we’re a new BA, this means you’re in it from the beginning – building a secure and reliable foundation to grow on. Your main mission is to develop, implement and monitor a strategic and comprehensive framework for enterprise information security and IT risk management across the BA. This includes driving and enforcing security policies, technologies and best practices in accordance with divisional and global business requirements – both for IT infrastructure and mobile devices. To achieve this, you work closely with the divisions; facilitating IT risk assessments and risk management processes, and in collaboration with stakeholders throughout the BA on identifying acceptable levels of residual risk.

Another important assignment is to create, communicate and implement a risk-based process for vendor risk management, including the assessment and treatment for risks through third party. You provide strategic risk guidance in IT projects and handle information security related to launched applications and solutions – such as access to systems and databases – to keep them up to date.

In this position, you’re part of our IT Management Team and the Sandvik Information & IT Security Council, representing the SRP BA. This position is located at our new office in Malmö and global travel is a natural part of the job.

And what about you?
Your career consists of at least three years’ experience as Information Security manager or CISO, and you have a high level of understanding of the security challenges that comes with a global organization. Your good analysis and decision-making skills, together with a high level of understanding for business requirements and targets, enables you to deliver prompt and accurate support. Being stress-resistant is key in this role, as you need to take appropriate decisions and hands-on action under pressure.

Weather your knowledge is based on studies or a working career, we believe that you have a genuine passion for cyber security and the will to constantly evolve both your own skills and the knowledge within the team. As we’re forming a new organization, it’s also of highest importance that you work very well both independently and in a team. Relevant certifications within the area is considered a plus and, as we work in a global setting, your fluent in both written and verbal English.
